Encaustic photography is the fine art and craft of sealing high-quality photographs under a layer of encaustic medium, aka beeswax and resin. The archival quality photograph is attached to an encaustic grade wood panel. Wax is then painted over the surface to add texture, interest, and meaning to the artwork. Lastly, the piece is buffed with a lint-free cloth for a beautiful shine. The result is a durable, unique, work of art.
